With an extensive career in nursing, this client was interested in applying for promotion to a role she had previously acted in for six months and needed to update her existing resume. During her consultation, the client expressed her desire to have a professional resume prepared in readiness to accompany her application for this position to give her the best possible chance of getting the job.
Together we discussed which aspects of the client’s career she wished to highlight, including key achievements and outcomes. We also highlighted her extensive relevant experience in a related department of the same hospital, as well as her achievements while in the acting position.
The client’s new resume began with two paragraphs outlining her professional profile, another summarised her career outlook, and a list of her key skills and attributes was also added. The updated resume included details of her career history showing her progression through the nursing ranks, with an emphasis on her three most recent positions through giving detail about duties, achievements and outcomes.
